Brett Lee Is Starring In A Bollywood Style Rom-Com Called Unindian

In quizzical casting news confirming the extent to which India loves Brett Lee (hint: waaayyy more than Australia does), the Australian fast bowler has landed the lead role in an upcoming Bollywood film called Unindian.

The romantic comedy will reportedly explore the lighter side of cross-cultural relationships and sees Lee star opposite Indian actress, Tannishtha Chatterjee, known best for her breakout role in the British feature film, Brick Lane.
The film centres on Meera (Chatterjee) an Indian single mother who has recently immigrated to Sydney where she meets Will (Lee) a dude who makes her question everything she thought she knew about finding love in all the wrong places. ‘Unindian’ is the first feature produced from the Australia India Film Fund (AIFF) and is expected to commence production in Sydney next month.
Lee’s previous forays into the Indian entertainment industry include a role in the cricket-themed Bollywood film Victory and a chart topping duet with legendary Bollywood singer Asha Bhosle.
That track was called “You’re The One For Me” and it’s as terrible now as it was seven years ago.
