American Golfer Nails Two Holes In One During Same Day’s Play

At some point, this is just showing off.

Nailing one ace in a round of golf is an achievement in and of itself – and one that most pros don’t ever manage to accomplish even once in their careers.
But American golfer Brian Harman took it further earlier today in the last round of The Barclays tournament in New Jersey, sinking one hole in one early in his last 18, and then following that up with another hole in one during the same single round of golf.
The left handed Harman – currently ranked 78th in the world – put the first one into the cup on the 167-metre par 3 third hold of the Plainfield Country Club course. 11 holes later, he did it again – this time nailing the 199-metre par 3 fourteenth.

The feat is so rare that it’s only ever occurred twice before on the US PGA Tour, with Japan’s Yusaku Miyazota achieving it back in 2005, and American Bill Whedon first nailing the milestone way back in 1955.
The aces didn’t help Harmen in his final round, however. Five bogeys saw him limp to a mediocre 2-under par score of 68 in the final round – good enough to have him finish in a tie for 30th place.
Australia Jason Day continued his recent stellar form – fresh off his win at the PGA Championship – shooting a whitehot final round score of 8-under par 62 to take out The Barclays tournament with an overall score of 19 under par, smoking the field to finish six shots clear of second.
