It might feel like we’ve only just finished this year’s iteration of the Super Bowl, and that’s because we have, but it doesn’t mean that we can’t sit down and have a good ol’ chinwag about who might be taking the hot seat for next years halftime show.

Lo and behold, it looks like rumours are starting to stir that Selena Gomez could be up for the job, after Brazillian fan forum Pandlr began heating up with murmurs that Selena had been asked to perform at next years Super Bowl in Atlanta.

Selena’s actually already played the Super Bowl in 2013, where she performed a medley of hits to a crowd that was bloody frothing it.

Although, it’s not currently clear if the star will act on the invitation. Selena’s been out of the spotlight for a bit while she works on her mental health, which would probably suffer if she had to do a televised performance in front of millions of people.

But obviously, that didn’t stop Twitter from working itself into a frenzy and hypothesising on every possible outcome.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see how this one pans out.
