The woman who copped a knuckle square in the face at that chaotic Trump insurrection yesterday, has been identified as someone’s mum???
ICYMI: On Wednesday (US Time) a mob of Pro-Trump supporters/rioters/terrorists stormed the US Capitol in protest of Joe Biden‘s election victory. It got extremely violent and down-right dangerous, but that didn’t stop the world from laughing at the entire thing.
In the viral video, a young Black woman can be seen standing up to Trump supporters at the Capitol riots. A White woman then tries to grab her, and the young woman lands a punch on her. Shortly afterward, police grab the young woman and mace her. The White woman walks away and has a cry about it.

The video of the altercation was posted on Twitter, with many wondering who the unidentified white woman was. Well it turns out that it ~embarrassingly~ is a young girl’s mum, and the girl has now used the opportunity to call her mum out for being a hypocrite.
“Hi mom remember the time you told me I shouldn’t go to BLM protests bc they could get violent…this you?,” Helena Duke wrote on Twitter.

People in the comments were quick to judge Helena for identifying her mother, but as with all family drama, there’s a lot more bubbling beneath the surface.
Helena Duke is progressive, a lesbian and a supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement. She has been kicked out of her Trump-supporting family home on a number of occasions, and evidently feels helpless. If identifying her nasty family members online helps her heal, then go for it, I say.
Yeah so it also turns out, the other two people in the video are Helena Duke’s aunt and uncle. Yikes.
