How I Met Your Mother star Josh Radnor love to bite the hand that (once) fed him, being shady towards the character that made him famous, Ted Mosby.
On Twitter, user Lizzie Logan described how a friend of hers had sex with someone “described to her as a ‘Ted Mosby’”.
one time my friend had sex with someone because he was described to her as “a ted mosby”

The actual Ted Mosby himself (Josh Radnor) then re-shared the tweet and wrote: “Not totally sure how I feel about this.” Which kind-of implies that anyone actively turned on by a Mosby type, has some demons.
You know, I’ve definitely dated some questionable men in the past (or present), but at least I’ve never dated someone who was described to me as a ‘Ted Mosby’. Although I did date someone who had a car as his profile pic, which was definitely ~a mistake~.

Even Monica Lewinsky retweeted Radnor’s reply, and if anyone knows about toxic ‘good guy’ men, it’s her.
This isn’t the first time Radnor has subtly called out his own character. In October last year, Asawin Suebsaeng called out the weird (and controversial) HIMYM finale where an emotional Lily basically calls Ted “brave” for dating dozens of women.
“The weirdest thing about HIMYM is the finale when Lily does a monologue about how much emotional endurance & bravery @JoshRadnor
has,” he wrote on Twitter.
“But really if you looked at it on paper what it would read is, guy dates a large number of cool gorgeous women, then marries one.”
Again, Radnor re-shared the tweet and basically agreed with Suebsaeng.
“That is technically what happened, yes,” Radnor responded.

For those who don’t know what all the ‘Ted Mosby being a shitty guy’ fuss is about, this tweet sums it up pretty well.
Ross Gellar and Ted Mosby set human relationships back 100 years. Just wishy washy egomaniacs masquerading as “good guys” OK maybe I’ve had a couple of whiskeys but still.

This whole idea that ‘good guys’ get a free pass in treating women like garbage because they aren’t overtly masculine, is bullshit. Maybe you should spend more time actually being a ‘good guy,’ rather than just saying it.
