Watch The Awesome Weather Thing That Happened In NSW Last Weekend

Today in WTF weather events Lester Burnham would call “beautiful”: a waterspout, a vortex-shaped water column formed when tornadoes rise above the ocean under very specific weather conditions, was spotted near Batemans Bay in Southern New South Wales on Sunday. The “water twister” took shape yesterday at 2pm and dissipated 15 minutes later, but not before a bunch of onlookers recorded it on their camera phones.

One word y’all: Spec-tac-u-lar.
