WATCH: ‘Rick & Morty’ Goes Into Mega Drive With This Glorious 8-Bit Intro

A HUNDRED YEARS RICK AND MORTY. FOREVER A HUNDRED YEARS.
The release date for season 3 is still up in the air, largely due to Dan Harmon‘s insane perfectionism and Adult Swim‘s willingness to indulge it (absolutely not a bad thing), but that doesn’t mean we can’t revel in the glory of new ‘Rick & Morty‘ related content.
Given that the outrageously ridiculous nature of the show means it could only ever exist in either animation or video game format, it’s beyond sensible that we now have this: A magnificent, beautiful, fan-embracing opening title sequence done entirely in painstakingly-curated 8-bit pixel art.
It’s wubalubabdubdub’ly freakin’ great, pals.

Now all we need is for someone to finally go to Blips N Chitz and transport a Roy machine back to Earth so we can all enjoy what is clearly the best arcade game ever created.

Honestly, who goes back to the carpet store? That’s amateur-hour shit.
