After being fired as showrunner from his own show (ouch, mang), Dan Harmon seems to have found enough free time to create a ten-episode animated series for Adult Swim, along with co-creator Justin Roiland. The show Rick and Morty which, despite the pilot just being put up on YouTube (¯_(“/)_/¯), isn’t supposed to premier till December 2nd, is a bit Back to the Future, a bit Futurama and a whole lot Dan Harmon.
Now that bro is back with Community, there’s no word what the Back2theFuture holds for Rick and Morty but either way, the pilot is about an alcoholic scientist grandfather who decides he’s going to drop a neutrino bomb on planet earth to allow his teen grandson to be the sole survivor along with his crush (Blennifer?).
