Two men have been rushed to Royal Adelaide Hospital after an incident broke out at a home in Littlehampton in the Adelaide Hills area which resulted in one being shot in the torso and another suffering neck wounds from an axe.
Authorities were called to the residence last night after reports of gunfire where the found a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound from a rifle and a 30-year-old man with head and neck wounds from what police have described as a tomahawk.

It is believed that both men knew each other and that the incident was not random in nature, with the 24-year-old being shot first, before retaliating with the small axe.
Both men were rushed to hospital under a police convoy, with the man suffering the neck wound in an extremely serious condition. Both are still in critical care.
