Two Couples Suffered Wedding Mayhem In Sydney & Melbourne & My Single Ass Is Loving It

Ever had a guilty wish to actually see shit go down at a wedding? Where one spouse accuses another on the altar of being unfaithful or the fathers of the bride and groom get into a fistfight? Well if you were walking around the CBD of Melbourne and Sydney yesterday, you might have had your wish come true.

Two recently wed (and I mean like, five minutes ago recent) couples from Sydney and Melbourne were seen having insane levels of misfortune on their wedding day. But one person’s worst nightmare is another person’s entertainment, and hoo boy am I entertained.

I’d be asking for a refund from the dressmaker if this happened to me.
Some bystanders assist the couple in finding their ring. You can tell everyone is internally screaming here.

The two lovebirds were seen taking photos in different locations throughout Sydney and Melbourne. At each location, a progressively worse incident would happen to them, causing public freak outs.

From failing to find the wedding reception, to being covered in ice cream, the day finally ended with the pairs tripping and faceplanting in the surf at the Bondi and St Kilda beach. Needless to say, they won’t be holding onto that wedding dress in the future, and honestly, that might be for the best.

More innocent onlookers help to find a lost ring at Bondi Beach.
At least the Melb couple is able to laugh about it.

Fortunately, this wasn’t a hex placed on them by witchcraft TikTok (as far as we know) this stunt was actually a bit of fun to raise awareness for Prime Video’s latest movie Shotgun Wedding starring Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel. The film is also made by the same people who brought us The Proposal and the director of Pitch Perfect, so you can expect a hilarious and campy thrill ride.

The action rom-com follows Darcy (Jennifer Lopez) and Tom (Josh Duhamel) on the day of their wedding, as they gather their lovable but very opinionated families for an amazing getaway wedding on a remote island. However, on the day the two get cold feet and consider pulling the pin at the last moment. So how do the two repair their marriage in the romcom? Surprise family antics? A small break up and get back together? No stupid! Surprise pirate attack. In an unexpected turn of events, the wedding is suddenly taken hostage by gun-toting pirates, and the two have to fight to save their families and maybe, their marriage.

If you haven’t seen the trailer that broke the internet when it was released yet, expect a trip. We see Jennifer Lopez dropping grenades on pirates in her wedding gown, Jennifer Coolidge firing a machine gun and screaming about protecting her family and Lenny Kravitz bringing the rizz.

You can catch Shotgun Wedding now on Prime Video.
