Good Morning, Here’s Bert McCracken Singing With The Veronicas At Good Things Festival

If you weren’t already aware, pop duo The Veronicas are currently touring Australia as part of the glorious Good Things Festival lineup.

So far, they’ve given us a wall of death, covered Blink-182’s ‘I Miss You’, and just yesterday they got on stage with Bert McCracken for a cover of  ‘The Taste of Ink.’

I mean this when I say, we are truly unworthy.

The Used frontman Bert McCracken quickly jumped on stage with the pair mid-set for some sneaky guest vocals.

Honestly, a cover of the 2002 hit ‘The Taste of Ink’ with Bert himself was the absolute last thing I expected to see in a The Veronicas set, but it did not disappoint.

McCracken, who lives in Sydney with his wife and daughter, is currently free from any touring commitments with his wildly successful US-based band The Used. So why the hell wouldn’t he jump on stage with Jess and Lisa?

I’m not entirely sure how The Veronicas and Bert McCracken became friends, but my early-noughties emo heart is absolutely living for it.

I imagine the Origliassos and the McCrackens relaxing over a game of backyard cricket on a Sunday afternoon and it just warms my cold, dead emo heart.

It truly is The Veronicas’ world and we’re just living in it.

If their wildly successful Good Things Festival run doesn’t make The Veronicas revisit their early-mid noughties vibes for 2020, I will riot. Jess and Lisa, you know what to do.

Good Things Festival wraps up in Brisbane today, with A Day To Remember, Simple Plan, Dance Gavin Dance and heaps more of your emo favourites.
