National treasure Migaloo is the elusive rock star of the underwater mammal world, and it has been confirmed that he’s been spotted today off the coast of Surfers Paradise.
The 26 year old White Humpback Whale was first seen in 1991, and has been tracked by experts ever since. He’s one of a small handful of White Humpback Whales, and was the first of his kind ever to be discovered.
Whale-watching group ‘Whales in Paradise‘ were unsure if it was in fact Migaloo at first (there’s two other white humpback whales that love to chill in the area, and Migaloo usually exclusively appears in June/July), but it has now been confirmed that the white beauty is he.
