Okay, so you know how Australia’s known for its burning-hot summers, glistening beaches, hot sand, outdoor barbeques, and ice-cold beer?

Well, you’re only getting one of those things this Australia Day weekend, fellow Aussies. So, grab hold of your frosty can of ale, because that baby ain’t getting warm anytime soon.
Our weather is gonna be dismal. It may as well be bloody winter, imho.
Behold, as we travel through the states who are going to get rammed with rain, thunder, lightning, and more rain this weekend:
SYDNEY
This is what Tourism Australia says Sydney looks like in summer:
And this is what it’s actually looking like:

Bureau of Meteorology says forecast is looking grim as hell:
BOM has also issued a Severe Thunderstorm warning for tonight: bom.gov.au/products/IDN65156
MELBOURNE
This is what The City of Melbourne says the world’s ‘most liveable city’ looks like in summer: 
But it’s gonna look more along the lines of that VICPOCALYPSE storm you guys had in November:

ADELAIDE
Tourism Australia says the pretty city of Adelaide looks like this in the summertime:
But as you guys know (because you are currently having giant blow-up things run away, apparently), THAT’S NOT TRUE AT ALL:

BOM says you guys are gonna be underwater a bit longer, but at least it’s easing up over the next few days! Hope ya’ll are okay.

You guys are pretty much fine. Low chance of some showers on Saturday, but that’s it. Four for you, sunny Perth! You go sunny Perth.
BRISBANE

BUT NUP. This is what it’s probably gonna look like, Brisbanites!

BOM says there’s high chances you guys are gonna get some serious rain and gusty thunderstorms:
DARWIN
Tourism Australia portrays Darwin as a pretty bloody gorgeous in summer:
But NAH, incorrecto – not this weekend. It’s gonna be really stormy according to BOM:

And finally, ACT
ACT, you’re gonna suffer from the same cloudy sickness as Sydney. You’re not gonna look the way you normally do:

We’ll let you know if Australia Day on Tuesday will fare any better. But, all in all, it seems as though we are all doomed.
