Summer’s here, folks. How do I know that? I know that because the poor sods in southern Queensland are just about to cop an absolute rager of a heatwave. Temperatures will soar to 5ºC to 7ºC higher than average November temperatures.
This means 40ºC temps in inland areas like Beaudesert, Ipswich and Toowoomba, and slightly chiller – but still unbelievably freaking hot – 35ºC in coastal areas. It’s over the weekend too, so you guys will be copping it sweet from Friday through to Sunday.
The scorching conditions are apparently caused by a hot, dry airmass moving over the coast from Australia‘s interior, which sounds like the prelude to Mad Max: Fury Road if ask this bloke.
Stay cool, my northern cousins.
