MAFS star Amanda Micallef has offered to put her “rep on the line” to spread the bullshit conspiracy theory that 5G technology somehow caused the coronavirus pandemic.
In a now-deleted Facebook post, Micallef volunteered to lead a protest, using her influence to secure a “camera crew, journos [and] hundreds of people.” There is currently a ban on gatherings of more than two people.
“I’m sick and tired of house arrest and ready to protest!!!” she wrote.
“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH THEY CAN’T LOCKED [sic] US UP LIKE THIS WHEN WE KNOW THEIR AGENDA.”
When a commenter joked that she didn’t have a high profile, Micallef replied: “I’ve just come off Australia’s most influential TV show, it’s not rocket science bud.”
The post was in a group called “Stop5G Victoria”, which has since rebranded itself as “Victorians for Safe Technology”.
There is no scientific evidence to support the conspiracy theory that 5G technology is harmful to humans, or has any relation to the coronavirus.
On Tuesday, Micallef also asked her followers for their thoughts on 5G technology. After publishing 25 negative responses from her fans on her Insta story, she put out a call for “scientific research to back why 5G is safe or otherwise.”
She said she plans to review the evidence in a Q&A session at at later date.
Micallef isn’t the only reality TV star to jump on the bandwagon.
Fellow MAFS bride Hayley Vernon has shared several posts on Instagram questioning both 5G technology and the coronavirus pandemic.
In one post, she shared a video from far-right conspiracy website InfoWars linking the issues, writing: “this is not just an illness, this is a way to whip and align the masses and to take your freedom your choices out of your hands.”

Meanwhile, Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise star Bill Goldsmith shared a post on Tuesday reiterating the false claim 5G technology is harmful to human health.

When approached for comment, he chose not to clarify his position.
The reality TV stars have joined celebrities in Australia and around the world who are using their enormous platforms to spread the 5G coronavirus conspiracy theory.
We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again: please shut the fuck up.
