Please Look At Buzz Aldrin’s Face While Trump Tries To Explain Space

Nobody expects Donald Trump to have anything particularly wise to say about space. Space is not among the limited number of topics Trump has any particular knowledge of – but unfortunately when you are President of the United States you are sometimes required to speak about space.

Trump spoke for more than eight minutes at the end of last week to announce that the White House was restarting the National Space Council, flanked by moon landing extraordinaire Buzz Aldrin, who probably knows a bit more about space than Trump does.
The speech was littered with some true clangers (“At some point in the future, we’re going to look back and say how did we do it without space?”) and it is eminently clear that Aldrin has lost the capability to hide the emotions he is feeling, even when on national television.

Absolute highlight is definitely Trump’s musings on the notion of space and infinity.
This is infinity here. It could be infinity. We don’t really don’t know. But it could be. It has to be something — but it could be infinity, right?
