It’s thoroughly begun folks – loose unit and blokey-bloke Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins and his shot at The Bachelor is fast approaching to our tellies (probably the week after Masterchef ends). Love him or hate him, think he’s hot or awkward looking – you’re gonna tune in, don’t fight it.
If you’re unfamiliar with the “Aussie larrikin”, Nick’s a professional rugby union player who’s represented the country on our national team. Speaking to The Project earlier this year, Nick said he accepted the quest of being our mighty bachelor ‘cos he’s just keen on finding love.
“They say you get three loves in life.
The first one ya know, it cuts pretty deep and you’re not really sure if it’s infatuation or not.
And the second one, it may be love but maybe you don’t really understand ‘cos you’re still young and inexperienced and the timings of your lives haven’t really hit the right connection, the right point.
So I suppose, the third one which – who knows, I might actually find could be this one – where I’ve realised it’s not infatuation, the timing in both of our lives have come to this point and now we’ve connected and hopefully we press forward into a happy future.”
Anywhoo, last week we were treated with the first risqué photo shoot of our bachelor, inspired by the undeniably sensual scene in American Beauty.

Judging by social media, the audience is pretty splitsy when it comes to Nick. Some people froth him for his realness while other’s are kinda confused, but look it’s Aussie TV – and this guy’s straight out of a Frank Walker for National Tiles ad. We’re sure it’ll be a hoot… or a complete bloody disaster.
