Yesterday brought the devastating news that an actor on set of a Bliss n Eso music video in Brisbane had been shot in the chest and killed.
The actor, who has now been named as Johann Ofner, was a stunt man and was performing in the video, even posting photos and videos of the weapons to his Instagram and Snapchat leading up to the tragic event. Police are reportedly treating the incident as an accident.
Fellow stunt performer and brother of Margot Robbie, Lachlan Robbie, has today posted a memorial post on Instagram for Ofner, remembering him as a “true legend”.
He wrote,
“It is with a gut wrenching and heavy hearted sorrow that I say today I’ve lost a mate, today our community has lost a brother, today a family has lost a leader but most of all today this world has lost one of its few best souls.[…]It’s safe to say you were a true legend in every aspect of the word and will always be remember as the great man that you truely [sic] were. Your influence and encouragement on those around you will be missed.[…]Rest in peace Johann Ofner I look forward to the day our path cross again. Till then let your spirt fly free brother you will be missed[.]”
He posted the emotional message on Instagram, along with photos of Ofner and the two of them working together:
