“Mr. Perry is currently under observation at the hospital,” his rep told the publication.
A spokesman from the Los Angeles Fire Department stated that paramedics responded to an emergency call from the 52-year-old actor’s residence at approximately 9:40 a.m.
Perry was then transported via ambulance to a nearby hospital where his condition remains unclear.
Following the health scare, Perry’s friends and co-stars have taken to social media to honour him.
My friend. Holding you tight and giving you my strength. You got this,” his Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Shannen Doherty wrote.
No words can express what my heart feels hearing today’s shocking news. Let us all say a prayer for his speedy recovery,” his other 90210 colleague Ian Ziering penned.

The incident occurred on the same day that Fox announced a six-episode revival of Perry’s hit ’80s series Beverly Hills, 90210 where several of his co-stars were set to reprise their roles for the limited series, including Ziering, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling.
Perry did not sign on due to scheduling conflicts with his popular CW teen-drama Riverdale.
