WE’VE GOT A STAGE FIVE CLINGER OF A FRANCHISE, PEOPLE.
Not really – if a ‘Wedding Crashers‘ sequel happens, we’ll honestly be stoked because IDC what anyone says – that movie is ACTUAL REAL ART.
And it’s looking really bloody good, because Isla Fisher – who played aforementioned ‘stage 5 clinger’ Gloria – has told press that a second ‘Wedding Crashers’ film looks to be happening soon.
On the ‘Today’ show on Thursday while promoting her current film, the Tom Ford-directed ‘Nocturnal Animals‘, Fisher told the hosts that she’d recently run into Vince Vaughn and they’d chatted about doing a highly-anticipated sequel.
“I bumped into Vince Vaughn at a party and he said that apparently we’re going to be making a sequel.So I’m really excited to see what happened to Gloria.”
UMMMMMMMM, YES?!
That’s a pretty bloody big bomb to drop, particularly considering there’s been no news whatsoever of a sequel previously. Like, not even a tenuous stretch of a baseless rumour. Nothin’.
And it seemed like poor Isla realised this after she’d just much-too-casually confirmed the film, and started hurriedly backtracking. A host asked her if it was a ‘done deal’, and she replied,
“Well, I don’t know about that.I shouldn’t really announce it on morning television. But apparently there’s some talk of it, which is fun.”
‘I shouldn’t really announce it on morning television’ sounds a bit like the words of someone who accidentally just let something slip that they shouldn’t’ve. 
That’s confirmation enough for us right now. Any glimmer of hope would be enough, tbh.
FUCK YEAH, ‘WEDDING CRASHERS‘ SEQUEL.
