KFC Is Suing Over Hoax Claims They Use Mutant Chooks With 8 Legs

While the ‘KFC uses genetically-modified mutant chickens with quadruple the amount of body parts they should have‘ hoax has been around since the beginning of the Internet, it seems like The Colonel and his legal team have only just heard about it.

KFC has sued three Chinese companies after they claimed that the fast food chain uses ‘chickens with 8 legs’. The lawsuit accuses the companies of “misleading the consumer” by posting the inaccurate photos and information via social media.
You know the photo we’re talking about. Your grandma has probably shared it on Facebook to warn her friends that this terribly photoshopped bald rooster could be in their next Zinger meal:
The accompanying text of the Internet urban legend says that the chain had to stop legally calling themselves KFC because they technically no longer used actual chicken, and that they are cooking and serving the above weird photoshopped things instead. Then the hoax urges you to ‘Please forward this message to as many people as you can. Together we make KFC start using real chicken again.’
It has been around possibly since the dawn of time. And it’s hilarious that anyone, ever, has actually believed it.
But hey. KFC just make delicious dirty bird for when your hangover is too disgusting; that’s what they are truly good at. Let’s perhaps leave the deciphering of Internet hoaxes up to the brainier that walk amongst us.
