Actor Kevin Clark, Who Played Freddy The Drummer In School Of Rock, Has Died At Age 32

Actor Kevin Clark, best known for playing student drummer Freddy Jones in School of Rock, has died at age 32, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Kevin Clark was reportedly riding his bike through the Avondale neighbourhood of Chicago when a driver of a Hyundai Sonata struck him around 1:20am, according to local police.

Paramedics rushed to the scene and took him to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:04 a.m., the Cook County medical examiner’s office and the Chicago Fire Department told the Sun-Times.

The 20-year-old driver who allegedly hit Clark with her car has not yet been arrested, but has been issued citations, according to police.

Kevin Clark gave up acting after his breakout role in the 2003 comedy flick School of Rock, where he starred alongside Jack Black, who has since taken to Instagram to mourn the loss of his co-star.

“Devastating news,” he wrote on Instagram. “Kevin is gone. Way too soon. Beautiful soul. So many great memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the whole school of rock community.”
