Las Vegas Gunman Reportedly Booked Rooms Overlooking Lollapalooza Festival

According to law enforcement sources, Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock booked out hotel rooms overlooking the Lollapalooza music festival back in August.

The Chicago Tribune reports that an anonymous source in law enforcement confirmed that Paddock rented two rooms at Chicago’s Blackstone Hotel, which overlooks Grant Park where the festival was held.

The hotel confirmed in a statement that a booking was made under the name Stephen Paddock, but said that nobody by that name actually ended up staying at the hotel.

Sources told the Boston Globe that Paddock had also been searching the internet for concert venues in the Boston area, including Fenway Park and the Boston Center for the Arts. Fenway Park is a famous baseball stadium which is sometimes used for concerts – most recently Lady Gaga and Billy Joel.

There has been no confirmation from official sources on either of these allegations. Police have confirmed that Paddock may have been planning an attack on the Life is Beautiful concert, which took place in Vegas a week prior.

Authorities are still not clear on Paddock’s motivations. Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said in a press conference that Paddock “meticulously” planned the attack, and that he had been stockpiling weapons and ammunition for “decades”.
