Apologies if this yarn makes you feel ancient but it’s been over 15 years since School of Rock first hit the big screen back in November 2003.

If you need a visual representation of that then look no further because some of those talented kids – now adults – got together for a reunion and hoo boy, is it big ol’ kick in the nostalgic gut.

Becca Brown, who starred as bass player Katie, posted a piccie from the reunion earlier this week. Brown still acts, and based on her Instagram, is still a total rock star.

At first you’ll recognise one or two faces and then it’ll violently hit you all at once.

YEP.

Okay, so left to right we have: James Hosey (Marco), Brian Falduto (Billy), Becca Brown (Katie), Zach Infante (Gordon), Aleisha LaNae’ (Alicia), Caitlin Hale (Marta), and Angelo Massagli (Frankie).

If you stare at Falduto long enough, you can just hear him say “You’re tacky and I hate you”.

Of course, there are a couple of faces missing from the group. Absentees are Miranda Cosgrove who played Summer, Kevin Clark (Freddy), Joey Gaydos Jr. (Zach), Maryam Hassan (Tomika), and Robert Tsai (Lawrence).

Then there’s the one and only Jack Black (Mr Schneebly). Although he didn’t make it to the reunion, he did catch up with Brown during the film’s 15-year anniversary month last November.

During a Tenacious D set in the same month, Black gave tickets to Kevin Clark (drummer Freddy). Clark is actually in his own band now and in return, gifted Black a band t-shirt which he threw on for a piccie.

Just like Brown and Clark, a lot of their former co-stars are still in the business. Falduto is an actor and singer-songwriter, Cosgrave you’ll no doubt recognise from a string of series and films, and Infante appears to be having the time of his life in theatre.

On Instagram last October, Falduto revealed the cast still have a “thriving group text” which might just be the most wholesome thing you’ll hear this week.

If you’re suddenly in the mood for a Friday night movie, School of Rock is available on Stan… unfortunately, it has disappeared off Netflix.

Happy Friday, pals.
