IKEA has just partnered with Pizza Hut in Hong Kong for what can only be described as the most incredible collaboration of all time. Yes, I’m talking about life-sized pizza tables.
You know the ones, those tiny white “tables” that stop your precious ‘za from touching the lid of the pizza box and wasting your delicious cheese. IKEA has made your pizza-loving dreams come true because now you can own a life-sized version to eat your pizza off of.
The Säva table looks exactly like the little white pizza topper that we all know and love. And to make it an even more on-brand partnership, the table even comes flat-packed inside a pizza box, according to Design Boom.
As expected, the campaign has already been wildly successful, selling 67% of projected units almost instantly. Honestly, we shouldn’t be surprised. I imagine every sharehouse in Australia would love a pizza-inspired side table.
“We’ve been absolutely thrilled to see the launch the new pizza hut x IKEA pizza with a fun, cheeky campaign that has proven to be quite popular with the fans already on the first day! this is a great pizza, and this campaign really shows how collaborations can really benefit the fans – not just the brands,” Oglivy Hong Kong executive creative director John Koay said.
Pizza Hut Marketing Director Wendy Leung shared a similar sentiment.
“This campaign shows the playful side of Pizza Hut, and that our credentials can move beyond the kitchen into new and interesting collaborations with other brands,” Leung said.
In addition to the table, Pizza Hut and IKEA Hong Kong have collaborated on a pizza featuring their beloved Swedish meatballs.
Is there anything more incredible than the idea of eating a Swedish meatball pizza off a life-size pizza table? I really don’t think so. This is a total game changer for share houses everywhere.
