Pizza Hut Is Launching A Vegemite Pizza Just In Time For ‘Straya Day

Australia: Sunburnt country. Vast, expansive island home. Land notorious for giving minimal fecks.

Australia Day is fast approaching, which you might’ve noticed thanks to companies ramping up their annual ad campaigns (Sam Kekovich making an unwelcome return to screens to spit about lamb for a while is always a red hot tip off) or you might’ve noticed it because of the sudden inability to sleep due to your house becoming a furnace.
Whatever the reason, with January 26th on the horizon its time to pause and reflect upon those little idiosyncrasies that make Australia what it is.
Then again it may also be time to do something completely outrageous like push one of these into your faces.
Pizza Hut is getting well on board with the ‘Straya Day spirit by launching a Vegemite stuffed crust pizza just in time for the long weekend.
The concept? Very simple, in and of itself. Take a regular ole’ stuffed crust pizza, with it’s delicious bready edges absolutely chockers full of oozy gooey cheese, and add a liberal lashing of everyone’s favourite salty brewer’s yeast by-product, Vegemite to it.
Boom. That’s it. That’s all it is. Devilishly simple, right?
It’s getting on board with the long known fact that Vegemite and cheese is a shockingly good combination, and smanging that smack dab together with the forever food, the giver of life, the creator and holder of all that is good and holy: pizza.
The Mitey Stuffed Crust is available as we speak, with any topping you can think of.
So you’ve really got no excuse. Do yerselves a favour and get on board. For science. For glory. For the betterment of the nation.
