Confirmed good boy and adorable fkn legend Hoover (full name Eulooka Hoover) has just broken the Aussie record for highest-selling working dog after he was sold for over $35k to a pair of new loving owners.

Friends, it’s a good day. I get to write about an adorable Kelpie, and you get to read about one. Win, win if you ask me. But hey, it’s no ordinary good boy, it’s an expensive good boy, and that’s why we love him even more. Money barks, you see.

Eulooka Hoover (love that name) is a 2-year-old Kelpie who lived with his good humans David and Sarah Lee in Edenhope, western Victoria. He turned heads however when he sold for a heaping $35,200 at the Casterton Kelpie Association’s Annual Working Dog Auction, which I will affectionately be calling the CKAAWDA from now on.

“He’s just so kind to his stock and just understands what’s going on,” Hoover’s human David Lee told the ABC in an interview.

“He can stimulate their herd instinct and get them to do what they’ve got to do calmly, and he’s just naturally like that.”

Omg, a good boy with TALENT. I stan.

“He’s a great all-rounder. He’ll go to cattle, he’ll go to sheep out in the paddock, and he’ll work them in the yards,” he continued.

“He’s just such a happy-go-lucky lad. He’ll go to work eight days a week if you let him.”

“Farmers across Australia are finding it hard to get good farmhands and good workers so working dogs are becoming an integral part of everyday life,” Casterton Kelpie Association President Karen Stephens told the Daily Mail.

“So they are relying on dogs instead of relying on employees.

“If you get a good dog like Hoover, it means you might only need one person on a horse to follow, not several other workers.”

Even the president admits that Hoover is a good boy. My heart.

You can see Hoover in herding action (he’s really fkn good) in this video posted by his former owner Sarah.
