Firefighters Work To Put Out Fire At Iconic Sydney Restaurant Nomad

Emergency services, firefighters, and police were called to Sydney’s iconic Middle-Eastern restaurant NOMAD on Wednesday as smoke billowed out of windows across the building.

NOMAD has won multiple awards in its time at the ground-floor location on Surry Hills’ Forster Street. In 2018, the restaurant was awarded one Chef’s Hat for the fourth year running.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the fire has been brought under control and that there are no reports of injury, although paramedics are on the scene.
