A Far-Right YouTuber Allegedly Murdered His Dad For Calling Him A Nazi

Well, here’s a story that’ll fill you with hope about the way the world is heading. A far-right YouTuber and former intern for Milo Yiannopoulos is currently awaiting trial on $1 million bail for the murder of his dad, who he allegedly killed for calling him a Nazi.

The full yarn is over at The Daily Beast today, which delves a little deeper into the alleged murder, which happened back in July but was reported with little fanfare. According to the Beast, Lane Davis – who was known online as Seattle4Truth – had become deeply fixated on the world of right-wing conspiracy, posting videos and comments about Gamergate, Pizzagate and other such far-right fixations.

Apparently, David became agitated after a morning of posting online at his parents’ home, where he lived. His mother Catherine called 911, saying that he needed to “move on”. As per the Daily Beast:

“We’re trying to but he’s chasing us around the house,” she replied. “He’s mad about something on the internet about leftist pedophiles and he thinks we’re leftist and he’s calling us pedophiles. And I don’t know what all.”

Catherine laughed. “He just lives on the internet and he gets really worked up about everything that’s going on. He needs an intervention of some kind here.”

At some point after hanging up, Lane stabbed his 72-year-old father Charles with a chef’s knife. He was recording the confrontation with his son – a recording which was later obtained by Skagit County police officers.

According to the Daily Beast, Lane said that a confrontation began because his father had called him a Nazi and a racist:

In a seeming confession, Lane Davis told detectives that the fight had started over “whether toddlers could consent to sex or not,” and his father had called him a Nazi and a racist.

So, uh, just a normal conversation you have with your old man, completely normal, nothing to see here.

He’s currently being held on $1 million bail and is being represented by a public defender. He has pled not guilty to the charge of first-degree murder.

The whole story goes into his history of posting online, and his YouTube channel which had accrued 11,000 subscribers.
