Ed Westwick Now Under Police Investigation Over Sexual Assault Allegations

Ed Westwick

The LAPD is investigating actress Kristina Cohen‘s allegation that she was raped by Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick, reports Deadline.

Cohen filed a police report this morning, which says: “Suspect forced victim to have sexual intercourse inside his residence… three years ago.”

It comes after Cohen publicly accused the actor of sexually assaulting her in 2014, when her former partner introduced the two.

Cohen says after an uncomfortable evening, she took a nap in the guest bedroom.

“I was woken up abruptly by Ed on top of me, his fingers entering my body. I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to fuck me. I was paralysed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me.”

Westwick denies the allegations. “I do not know this woman. I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape,” he posted on Instagram.

Despite this denial, Deadline reports that two contemporary witnesses have come forward to support Cohen’s allegation, including Cohen’s sister, Katalina Colgate.

“Very shortly after it happened, she told me that she was raped. She told me and my other sister. I was furious,” she said.

The other person to come forward is Cohen’s longtime friend (and former child actor) Blaise Godbe Lipman, who also recently made headlines as being the first of several young men to come forward with allegations against Hollywood agent Tyler Grasham.

“[Cohen] came over to my home the following morning and told me everything,” he said. “She was in a state of shock. It was without a doubt a rape.”

Westwick has made no further public statement to these claims.
