It’s been heartwarming to see Australians nationwide dig deep into their pockets to donate for bushfire relief. Everyone from old mate down the road to huge brands and celebs are proving that Aussies really do have each other’s backs in times of crisis.
Something I just did not think I would see coming out of this crisis, and yet I deeply love with all my heart, is a drug dealer pledging 10% of purchases to bushfire relief. But folks, it’s happened.
Yep, screenshots are doing the rounds of what appears to be a mass text from a dealer advertising 10% of all sales this weekend to the bushfires. The screenshot has gone viral because, of course, Brown Cardigan were alerted to it and have posted it to their Instagram page.
“Not a joke,” the text says. “Actually being legit thank you all. Hopefully you guys can also donate would mean a lot thank you.”
Related: a friend of a friend of mine also received a text from their drug dealer, offering bushfire donations from sales. It looks like this is legit: there’s at least one Aussie dealer doing their bit for bushfire relief. You love to see it.
While we’re not supporting illicit drug use here (HEAR THAT, LEGAL PEOPLE) I do love the energy of even the most illegal of businesses doing their bit for bushfire aid.
