The pair then returned to The Lowry Hotel where Drake was staying, and according to the documents “hung out, talked and watching some television together” before engaging in “consensual, protected sex.”

They then separated, with Drake continuing his tour while Lace went home to New York. Drake claims in the court documents that Lace subsequently “went ballistic”, wanting join him on the road. According to screenshots provided in the documents, they continued to text for several weeks, with Lace even offering to fly back to Europe to meet up with Drake again.

Drake then says in the documents that he stopped communication with Lace in March, after realising that she had “created a fantasy relationship.”

In April, she claimed on Instagram that she was pregnant with his child, and while she obtained a lawyer to seek child support, she refused to take a paternity test. The documents claim “there is no credible evidence of pregnancy, nor any baby, which would have been born last fall.”

In regards to Lace’s subsequent police report, Drake says in the filing that he voluntarily flew to the U.K. for an interview with a Manchester police detective, and was cleared in the investigation. Lace then allegedly “demanded payment of millions of dollars in exchange for her silence,” according to the documents.

Drake is seeking unspecified damages for civil extortion, intentional infliction of emotional distress, abuse of process, fraud and defamation.
