Be Afraid, Derryn Hinch Has Formed His Own Political Party

Because there simply aren’t enough loose cannons, ideologues and human Daily Telegraph comments in the senate, old mate Derryn Hinch has formed his own political party.
Hinch has been making noises about his political aspirations for a while, but overnight, launched the official website for The Justice Party, whose slogan is “it’s just common sense”, because of course it is.
Hinch has long taken a stand against child sex offenders. In 2008, he was sentenced to house arrest after defying a court order and naming two paedophiles at a rally, and in 1987, he was jailed for naming a paedophile priest.
The Justice Party will field candidates in all states and territories, and while their primary focus is to fight for a national public register of sex offenders, the 71-year-old Hinch is quick to point out that they are “not just a one-issue party.”
Their other key platforms include:
– Justice in sentencing
– Bail reform
– Domestic violence law reform
– Equality, including same-sex marriage
– Animal justice
And so it begins.
