Basically All Of Australia Is Set For Some Scorching Weather This Week

Folks, if I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times: it is time we abandoned the scorched surface of the earth and retreated to a series of elaborate subterranean tunnels, where we will live and regress into peaceful, apelike creatures.

Seriously though. According to the Bureau of Meteorology, we’re set for an absolute scorcher of a week. It’ll soar above 30ºC in basically every city in the country – except Hobart, which I’m not convinced is even a real place.

It’s likely that Perth will hit 35ºC, Melbourne 36ºC and Adelaide a deeply unpleasant 38ºC. Western Sydney is going to cop it worst of all, with the mercury climbing to 42ºC on Thursday. The inner city will probably feel something closer to 34ºC. It’ll stay hot all the way through to the weekend too.

Darwin will suffer through 35ºC temperatures basically all week, and Canberra will be copping above 30ºC temps all week too. Brisbane is surprisingly a bit milder, but it’ll still be in the high 20s.

Stay hydrated, team. Summer… she’s here.
