Badass NSW Greens MP Breaks Law, Tells Hearing He Ate Cannabis This Morning

It could possibly be one of the greatest, most satisfying feelings in the world to ~mic drop~ out of a parliamentary budget hearing, yelling ‘420 BLAZE IT, I’M BAKED AF OUTCHEA CUNTS, YIIIEWWWWW’, doing the Shaka all the way out of the door.

Sadly, IRL it didn’t go exactly like that, but Greens MP Jeremy Buckingham got as close to that situation as a member of Parliament possibly could. This morning, he brazenly told a budget estimates hearing that he consumed hemp seeds this morning, which is a criminal offence in NSW.
He made the confession right before asking Primary Industries Minister Niall Blair why it was illegal to consume hemp seed in New South Wales, when it could be a real lucrative industry.
Buckingham has previously campaigned for farmers to be able to sell hemp seed for human consumption (currently it can only be used/sold as oil or fibres), to make their crops more viable.
According to the ABC, Blair seemed pretty startled and/or confused by Buckingham’s statement:
Mr Buckingham: Minister you may or may not be surprised that this morning I consumed cannabis. I broke the law.
Mr Blair: Camus?
Mr Buckingham: Cannabis.
Mr Blair: Oh, cannabis.
Mr Buckingham: Minister, why are standing in the way of a billion-dollar hemp food industry?
Mr Blair: Do you want me to comment on the first part of the question?
You may remember Buckingham from previous stunts such as smoking an e-cigarette in Parliament to prove a point about legal loopholes for vapour devices. Trolololololololol.
Sidenote: hemp seeds are delicious, though.
