At least 13 people have been killed and 31 injured when a tour bus slammed into a truck on a highway in southern California. It is reported that the bus hit the back of the truck, causing severe damage to both vehicles.

The bus belongs to a company named USA Holiday, which primarily provides vehicles which transport people to local casinos and entertainment venues. At the time of the crash, the bus was driving back to Los Angeles from the Red Earth Casino in Salton City.
Rescue teams worked quickly to pull survivors from the windows of the vehicle. Of the injured, five were in a critical condition, and three were listed as serious. The bus driver received minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that 13 people aboard the bus were killed.
