Apple Announces New, Smaller iPhone SE For The Tiny-Handed Among Us

Hey kids: Apple has announced a new iPhone. It’s called the iPhone SE, and is a smaller, 4-inch smartphone which looks like a whole lot like the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. If your tiny child hands can’t handle one of the bigger models, and you’re sick of using one of the older devices, then this one might be for you.

At the press conference early this morning at Apple HQ in Cupertino, California, Apple vice president of iPhone marketing Greg Joswiak mentioned that 60% of users of the older 4-inch iPhone models were still using those devices and hadn’t seen reason to upgrade, which is a good indication that they like something about them.
The new model packs the same internals as the iPhone 6S, including the A9 processor, the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and a 12-megapixel camera.
An iPhone SE gonna cost ya at least $679 outright here in Australia, depending on storage, and should be available from March 31. If you can’t wait to get your tiny mitts on one, you can pre-order from the 24th.
