A Zoo Lion In Germany Was Shot To Death & Oh God No, Here We Go Again

The world of memes is a fickle beast. As PEDESTRIAN.TV’s Chief Memegineer, trust me when I say it is almost impossible to predict what exact event will lead to the next big ol’ meme-off, such is the fluid nature of an ethereal concept so devoid of logic, structure, or indeed, human morals.
Except for right now of course, cause a bloody zoo animal has only gone and got itself shot again, and god dammit, the internet is a’froth at this potential Harambe 2.0.
The Liepzig Zoo in Germany has unfortunately followed in the footsteps of the Cincinatti Zoo’s ape-ssassination which spurned the ceaseless “gorilla who died” meme, by shooting a juvenile male lion who escaped his enclosure overnight.
The lion who died? His name was Motshegetsi, and get ready for that name to haunt your online existence as it looks like the Harambification of this, admittedly super sad, event, has already commenced, with a subreddit beginning to gurgle away with the exact kind of ~filth~ one would expect from this here internet.
Point and case re: FILTH!

The unfettered cesspool of nightmares that is Twitter (hey, follow me @mitchfel!!!) followed suit, with disproportionate outrage at the death of a lion, who I bet they’d never even heard of before, nor could even name ONE song of. POSERS.

So yeah, Motshegetsi is the lion who died. #ManhoodOutForMotshegetsi etc. etc.
I’m so so tired.
