A Third Australian Has Been Confirmed As Injured In The London Attack

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has confirmed that a third Australian was caught up in the London terror attack that killed seven people and wounded 48 others, but specific details are still scarce.

“We’re still making enquiries in respect to the circumstances of the third Australian,” Bishop told The Today Show this morning, confirming she was talking to Australia’s High Commissioner to London Alexander Downer.

She confirmed these three are the only people the government is currently aware of where were injured in the attack, but that they are currently making further inquiries. “I spoke to Alexander Downer and these are the only ones we know in terms of physical injury,” Bishop said.
The other two Australians injured in the attack are Queensland woman Candice Hedge, who was stabbed in the neck and has undergone surgery, and Darwin man Andrew Morrison.
Police in London have arrested 12 people in connection with the London Bridge and Borough Market terror attack.
