A Second Australian Was Killed In The London Terror Attack, Govt Confirms

A second Australian has died as a result of Saturday’s terror attack in London.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop confirmed the news in a statement, saying authorities are awaiting official confirmation of the victim’s identity and for the victim’s family to be notified before their name is made public.

The Australian Government has remained in close contact with the families who have requested privacy,” the statement says.

“We ask the media to respect their request at this difficult and harrowing time.”
Yesterday, 28-year-old South Australian woman Kirsty Boden was confirmed as a victim of the horrific van and knife attack.
There have also been serious fears for 21-year-old Sara Zelenak, who was separated from a friend after the incident and has not been heard from since.
Two other Australians are recovering from knife wounds after the incident.

We’ll update this story as it develops.
