Any American (and most other people) who was 13-35 in the Nineties knows the words to “The Sweater Song”, so My Chemical Romance must have been creaming themselves when they recently joined Weezer on stage to perform the Blue album classic “My Name Is Jonas” at a show in Los Angeles. An audience member captured this unlikely-band-marriage moment. God damn you half cut camera phone guy you do it to me every time.
(At the 2:42 minute mark if you look at Gerard Way’s face it kind of looks like he went.)
At the same concert the veteran alt-rockers got the fat dude from Lost (who is the face of Weezer’s latest album cover) to join them onstage for “Perfect Situation”.
Does anyone else really really hope Weezer bring the “Blinkerton” tour down under.
