As part of her ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the year 1989, Taylor Swift overnight announced a world tour kicking off in North America in May, before heading to Europe and culminating in Australia in December 2015.
In what must surely rank amongst the highest of high points in a year that has so far included placing first in the triple j Hottest 100 and receiving Snapchat royalties, Swift has also personally invited Vance Joy to join her on tour. He’s “stoked“.

If all goes accordingly, Vance – real name James Keogh – is well placed to either get poached by Katy Perry or is a real front-runner for next year’s Independence Day best friend hazing weekend.
In return, Vance Joy has responded by devoting his entire social media personal brand to Swift’s ungodly image. Congratulations, everybody.
