Vance Joy Covers Taylor Swift’s “I Know Places,” Swifty Froths On It

Taylor Swift is a big fan of our boy Vance Joy. This we know to be established fact.

This particular mutual music appreciation society began when Swifty Cent revealed her affinity for Vance’s track “Riptide,” which she proceeded to slay a haunting, reserved piano rendition of during an appearance on BBC Radio.
The revelation of fandom didn’t end there, either. Swift wound up hand-picking the man knowns as James Keogh to family and friends to be the support act on her sprawling, year-long 1989 World Tour.
With that tour beginning overnight in Tokyo, and with Vance Joy set to join her as chief support beginning May 20th in Bossier City, Louisiana, Vance has returned the coverage favour, by putting out a similarly haunting, stripped back, and devastatingly reverberative version of 1989 album cut “I Know Places.”

What’s more, TayTay herself is absolutely frothing on it.

The 1989 World Tour snakes its way around the globe for the better part of the remainder of the year, and will touch down in Australia as its final stop beginning on November 28th in Sydney.
