If I had to list the similarities between Vance Joy and Chet Faker in order of most apparent to least, I’d wager the more striking ones were:
1) Hair game on point; 2) Popular amongst Hottest 100 voters; 3) Killing it with American television audiences right now; 4) Okay at music too, I guess.
Less than a week after a tripartite appearance in this year’s Hottest 100, really nice guy Vance Joy – the nom-de-strum of James Keogh – performed no less than two songs for America’s No. 1 Prankster Jimmy Kimmel and his eponymous show’s studio audience today, including his US platinum single ‘Riptide’.
In case you were wondering – which you obviously are, by virtue of reading this sentence – he nailed it.
You can catch Keogh at headlining shows around the country throughout March before he embarks for Coachella, followed by on an international tour with Taylor MF Swift, after which time he’ll literally blow up and you won’t be able to hang out with him anymore.
