Taylor Swift has shocked fans with the announcement of her ninth studio album later today, and now fans are convinced she secretly got married.
Just five months after the release of folklore, while I assumed she was re-recording all of her old albums, Taylor is releasing a new album entitled evermore.
“I’m elated to tell you that my 9th studio album, and folklore’s sister record, will be out tonight at midnight eastern. It’s called evermore,” she wrote on Instagram overnight.
The album is a ‘sister album’ to folklore, which I imagine is what happens when you end up with so many album-worth B-sides that you give them their own album.
“To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in,” she wrote.
But after seeing the third promo photo for the album, Swifties are convinced she has finally tied the knot with long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
I mean, she’s wearing an incredibly bridal-looking Zimmerman dress (if so, T Swift getting hitched in an Aussie designer is huge), the album is called evermore and she already sparked engagement rumours when a huge rock was spotted on her finger in Miss Americana.
Honestly, I reckon she’s secretly got hitched.
It’s unclear how she finds the time to release not one but *two* iso-albums, re-record her entire discography and apparently get married, but if anyone can do it, it’s Taylor Swift.
evermore drops at midnight Eastern Time, which is 4pm AEDT for all of you playing along at home. In the mean time, I’ll be snooping to find out if she really *did* get hitched because I am dying to see those wedding photos.
