Stream New Bloc Party Album “Four” In Full

If you liked the sound of new Bloc Party tracks “Day Four” and “Octopus” you can now listen to the band’s new album Four in its entirety on the Bloc Party website.

The band have definitely evolved sound-wise into harder guitar-rock territory, with some very obvious metal and hardcore influences in the mix. The guitar solo in “Octopus”, for example, owes itself to the famous Angus Young riff at the opening of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”. Some of the heavier moments populating the first half of the record take a bit of getting used to if your ears are attuned to the earlier Bloc Party sound – prepare yourself for real Metal riffage; however, the album’s second half has softer more melodic moments like “Healing” and “Real Talk”.

Four is out in Australia this Friday 17 August via Frenchkiss Records / Cooperative Music. STREAM IN FULL NOW.
