Bloc Party took to the stage at Splendour yesterday for what frontman Kele Okereke mistook as their third appearance at the fan-favourite festival. Funnily enough it was actually the band’s fourth appearance at Splendour, a number befitting the unveiling of their new track ‘Day Four‘ ahead of their first release in four years, the aptly titled album ‘Four‘, which is set to drop in late August.
Listen to the mid-tempo track below, as well as the band’s first single from ‘Four‘, ‘Octopus‘, which they played yesterday alongside a nostalgia infused setlist that included ‘Banquet‘, ‘Song For Clay‘, ‘This Modern Love‘ and ‘Mercury amongst others.’
