The Hugest 90s Pop Tour We’ve Seen Is Coming To Australia So Let’s Go Party

It’s the summer of 1998. You’ve just burnt your hand on the seatbelt buckle of your mum’s EL Falcon. As the warm air blows through the window, rustling the Ghost Drop wrappers you’ve left strewn in the footwell, a strange voice seeps from the speakers. It speaks to you, and you alone: you are Barbie. And it’s time to party.

Twenty years later, Frontier Touring has revealed the So Pop concert tour, featuring a line-up designed to strip mine that kind of memory for every last speckle of dopamine.

Aqua, Vengaboys, Blue, B*Witched, Eiffel 65, Lou Bega, and stacks more are slated to bring out their weapons of mass nostalgia early next year at capital cities around Australia and New Zealand.

Featuring hits like We Like To Party (The Vengabus), Mambo No. 5, C’est La Vie, and yes, Barbie Girl, the event will be hosted by none other than Cheez TV icons Ryan Lappen and Jade Gatt. It is yet to be seen if each artist will be interrupted by classic episodes of Dragon Ball Z.
