Ruby Rose Reveals Debut Music Video ‘Guilty Pleasure’

Ruby Rose has today unveiled the video for her debut single, ‘Guilty Pleasure,‘, the first of many musical fruits to fall from the scared sonic fig tree Rose planted during her stay at a Balinese songwriting camp earlier this year.

The one time Girlfriend model search winner turned VJ turned DJ turned sports commentator turned designer, columnist, boxer, actress and model again teamed up with Gary Go for her first single, which is perhaps best described by the ambiguous genre mash-up first suggested by the rumour mill at this time last year: it’s “like house R’n’B.

The video for ‘Guilty Pleasure‘ was shot in both Barcelona and London, and sees the two wear an enviable amount of sunglasses, do lots of walking, smouldering, some DJing and some piggybacking.

The song, which opens with the lyric “Suicide, I’m on a mission,” is (according to Rose), “[vibing off] the idea of a destructive relationship. [It] in no way endorses or speaks flippantly about suicide. It is just stating that sometimes you can feel dead even when you are alive. This song is to remind you that though things can be a struggle we do all have choices.”
