After having our collective heartache confirmed by Ruby Rose‘s announcement of their split earlier this month, Jessica Origliasso of The Veronicas has taken to her Instagram to thank her fans for supporting her during the break-up that happened “a few months ago”.
She posted to her story that she’s been taking some time to herself to heal and restore, and is back “like a phoenix”, ready to share what she’s got up her sleeve for the future.
The split came after a two-year relationship (and a bloody decade of speculation), Jessica supporting Ruby through a chronic spinal issue that left her in a wheelchair, a very steamy video clip directed by Ruby Rose that detailed a relationship filled with passion but fraught with issues. It’s understandable that they both need time to be alone and focus on themselves again.

Considering they’ve seemingly carried each other to hell and back with the constant attention, and Ruby’s rising popularity internationally through her modelling and acting career, Ruby’s post on Easter Sunday noted that she still supports her and will be her biggest advocate.
Fingers crossed we get some classic angsty Veronicas music outta this.
